Privacy Policy
Video Frame Lab
Effective date: June 11, 2026
Data Collection
Video Frame Lab does not require an account and does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data for advertising or marketing. The app is designed to work with videos selected by the user on their device for local frame inspection, analysis display, clip marking, and export.
We do not operate a Video Frame Lab server that receives user videos, exported clips, file names, frame selections, analysis results, or other media content from the app.
Photos and Videos
When a user chooses a video, the app requests access to the device media picker or media library so the selected file can be inspected in the app. Access is used to load the selected video, generate frame thumbnails, display analysis bands, mark start and stop points, and prepare an exported clip when the user chooses to export.
The app does not scan the user's full library for unrelated media and does not upload selected media to a Video Frame Lab server.
Local Processing
Frame previews, visual filters, motion/detail cues, and audio-style analysis bands are created on the user's device. These tools are intended to help users review and select clip boundaries. They are not used to identify a person and are not sent to us.
The operating system and app libraries may create temporary working files while generating thumbnails, trimming clips, or preparing an export. These files are used for app functionality on the device.
Sharing and Export
Users may export clips, save exported clips to their media library, or share clips through operating system sharing tools. These actions are started by the user. Any destination chosen during sharing is controlled by the user and the selected destination app or service.
Once a user shares an exported clip with another app or service, that destination's privacy practices apply.
Third-Party Services
Video Frame Lab does not include third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or analytics SDKs. The app may use platform services provided by Apple, Google, or the device operating system, such as the media picker, media library, file storage, and share sheet.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because Video Frame Lab does not maintain user accounts or cloud storage for user videos, we do not retain selected videos or exported clips on our servers. Users can delete exported clips from their device media library or file storage using their device's normal controls.
Uninstalling the app removes app data controlled by the operating system. Media files saved outside the app, such as exported clips saved to the user's library, may need to be deleted separately by the user.
Children's Privacy
Video Frame Lab is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can respond.
Security
We limit the app's privacy exposure by keeping the core video review workflow on the user's device and by avoiding account creation, advertising tracking, and server-side media uploads. No method of electronic storage or device processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we aim to request only the access needed for the app's video inspection and export features.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app changes or as store requirements change. When we update it, we will revise the effective date above.
